Phil Kirk Speaks to Wilmington Contractors Association
WILMINGTON, N.C. His discussion focused on trends in energy production and consumption, as well as designing and building energy-efficient structures.
“The federal Energy Policy Act mandates reductions in the use of traditional energy,” says Kirk. “With a goal of reducing reliance on coal and oil from 84 percent to 78 percent in 25 years, a concentrated effort is being made toward energy efficiency and sustainable design principles.”
Brady, a member of the Wilmington Contractors Association, employs 17 associates in Wilmington in its office and parts store on Netherlands Drive. Kirk represents Brady statewide working to improve their energy efficiency with government and private contractors, architects, engineers and facility owners.
