Phil Kirk Re-appointed to GRCC Education Committee

Brady (www.bradyservices.com), a company that provides high-efficiency HVAC systems and comprehensive building solutions for commercial and industrial facilities across North Carolina, announces today that Phil Kirk, director of Brady Energy Services, has been re-appointed to the Greater Raleigh Chamber of Commerce Education Committee for 2011-2012. This is Kirk’s third term on the committee.

“We encourage all of our associates to be active members in their communities,” says Jim Brady, president of Brady. “Phil has a deep rooted passion for quality education and this is an excellent way for him to contribute to improving local schools.”

Meeting four times a year, the education committee assists in crafting and implementing the education portion of government affairs business plan. The focus is to improve Wake County Public Schools through support from area businesses.

Phillip J. Kirk is the Director of Brady Energy Services and currently chairs the Public School Forum of North Carolina board and executive committee. He serves on the boards of Meredith College, UNC TV, North Carolina Center for the Advancement of Teaching Foundation and Learning Station. He is also the Chairman Emeritus of the State Board of Education. Kirk was the Chief of Staff for Governors Jim Holshouser and Jim Martin, as well as U. S. Senator Jim Broyhill. For 16 years, he was the President/CEO of North Carolina Citizens for Business and Industry and twice served as Secretary of the Department of Human Resources for North Carolina.
